Frequently Asked Questions
Due to our limited volunteer availability, please review the FAQ for answers before contacting us.
It’s likely to have the information you need. Thanks for your understanding!
1. Are you a non-profit organization?
Yes, we are! We incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2022.
2. Why do you charge a fee while there are meet-up hiking groups that are free?
We charge a nominal fee to support our mission as a non-profit organization committed to fostering inclusive outdoor experiences. Unlike meet-up groups where responsibility may be less clear, we prioritize your safety and enjoyment while transparently allocating funds to operational essentials like route vetting, hike leader training, first aids, and insurance.

3. What options are available if I cannot afford the hike?
Financial constraints shouldn't prevent you from joining us. We reserve a limited number of pay-what-you-can tickets for each hike to support individuals facing economic challenges. Contact us to discuss if you see a hike that you’d like to attend but can’t afford.

4. What happens if the weather conditions are unfavorable for the hike?
The hike will take place regardless of rain, wind, or snow so please dress accordingly! We will only cancel or postpone the hike if weather conditions are considered extreme or dangerous, in which case registered hikers will be informed 48 hours in advance.
5. I want to attend a hike but there is a waitlist. Can you add me?
Unfortunately we can only offer a certain number of tickets for each hike on a first come first serve basis. Please join the waitlist; we will be in touch if a spot opens up.
6. Are tickets refundable?
Urban hike tickets are non-refundable and can't be transferred to future events.

7. I can't attend the hike anymore. Do you have people you can transfer my ticket to?
Potentially! Please contact us to let us know, so we can try to give your ticket to someone on our waitlist. But remember, our hike tickets are non-refundable and can't be transferred to future events.

8. What should I bring for a hike with Let's Hike T.O.?
You only need essentials like water, sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, and a fully charged phone! We understand not everyone may have specialized gear, so our event details will specify any specific requirements if required. Just be yourself and have fun!
