The first quarter of 2024 has marked an exciting new chapter for Let's Hike T.O. with a series of significant developments.
We kicked off the year by welcoming a new Board Chair, Patricia Le, who has set out fresh goals and a new direction for the organization. Originally from Vietnam, Patricia first joined Let's Hike T.O. as a frequent hiker throughout 2023 and quickly became an integral part of our community. With her background in management consulting and the tech industry, Patricia is eager to leverage her expertise to help scale our efforts.
Our focus this year is on ambitious long-term capability and infrastructure-building projects. We’ll be sharing more details about these exciting plans soon.
We’re also thrilled to introduce six new hike leaders who have already started to lead several urban hikes and contribute to our vibrant community.
In early April, we hosted our first Volunteer Appreciation event of the year. Despite the cold and rainy weather of Spring, over 20 dedicated volunteers attended, showcasing their unwavering commitment. We deeply appreciate their support.
We’re also excited to have our first-ever student intern through our collaboration with Sheridan College. This intern from India will assist with community outreach, lead hikes, and bring a mindful touch to our events, thanks to his studies in social work.
As we look ahead, we’re enthusiastic about the next chapter for Let's Hike T.O. and look forward to continuing to grow and engage with our incredible community.
